Dear all,

How can i add a new functional annotation?

I'm using an aggilent double color array and the annotation file is not present in your MapMan project. It is possible to add a new one?

Thanks

Hi Eva,

you can use the mercator pipeline to create a mapping file based on the target sequences
the probes on your AGILENT chip were designed against. Please visit
http://mapman.gabipd.org/web/guest/app/mercator

All you need to create a mapping is a FASTA file containing the nucleotide sequences
of the target genes. Usually, this information is available for AGILENT chips via their
web site. In case you are working with a private custom array you'll have to contact
the person who designed it to obtain the information.

By the way: The mapping files that are included in RobiNA are just a selection of frequently
used mappings. The complete list can be found in the MapManStore (cllick Download->Download
mappings and pathways or follow this link.)

I hope this helps,
cheers,
Marc
