Using MapMan

Mapping files for Sorghum

Mapping files for Sorghum
Answer

I was wondering if would be possible to generate the mapping files for sorghum using the phyzome annotations.
The location of the file is ftp://ftp.jgi-psf.org/pub/JGI_data/phytozome/v8.0/Sbicolor/annotation/ and Sbicolor_79_annotation_info.txt.gz is the file name.

Thank you

Jose

Dear Jose,

i cannot create a MapMan mapping using the annotations provided in the file you referred to -
i can, however, create a mapping using the protein or nucleotide sequences of the genes
listed in the annotation file. So, unless you tell me otherwise, i would use the Sbicolor_79_peptide.fa.gz
file to generate a mapping (?).

Best greetings,
Marc
