When i add your sample file (Zm_B73_5b_FGS_cds_2011.txt, or XLS (Excel) in Cromosomal View it display below mentioned message:

Error reading data on line(1): 'BINCODE NAME IDENTIFIER DESCRIPTION TYPE'):
java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "IDENTIFIER"

please send me the solution as soon as possible.

Dear Rita,

the file you are talking about seems to be a mapping file, not a data file.
Though it doesn't seem to contain chromosomal locations from what I can see.
I'm checking with Marc what he sent you.

Hi Axel,
I also met with the similar problem when I used chromosomal view to study maize genes. I want to know how to form maize mapping file.

Hi Minghui,

the description about the mapping file is within the help.
For maize we already have a a few mapping files readily available.
