Hello MapMan group,

Can you tell me what the function is of filter option “!=”?
There is a topic on this issue but I can not enter it.

Hi Sandra,

!= means 'does not equal'

This is for the cases when one wants to filter discrete values.

e.g You want to filter the data on a second column where you might have categorized the data by values like:

1 (not of interest)
2 (the big ones)
3 (my personal selection)
4 (specially influenced)
May be you want the data without the special influenced ones.
So you will filter for != 4 to get everything which is not 4.
