Hi all,

Is MAPMAN has any tool to do functional classification of proteins? Is there any other tool which dose the same job?

Hi,

MapMan has its own ontology which can be used to classify proteins /genes etc. This is then used to paint high throughut data onto pathways.

If you are just interested in classification, there are at least a million programs out there using GO. However GO is inclusive, meaning one gene is in many many classes.
Otherwise yu can use KEGG or MIPS.
