When running RobiNA for affymetrix chip analysis, it hangs up at 36% of reading mapping files and I get this message:
"RobiNA is running out of memory and might become unstable or freeze completely. We stronly recommend closing the program an re-running it after configuring it to use more memory if your computer supports that. Please see the FAQ section of the manual for detailed instructions."


Unfortunately, there is no FAQ section in the manual, or instruction on increasing memory. Please advise.

sorry. You can try the following.
enter a comand tool and go into the Robina directory
e.g.
type "cd C:\Program Files\Robina" enter return
if you type "dir" and enter return you should see a file Robin2.exe

then type
"java -Xmx2G -jar Robin2.exe" and press return
you should see all kinds of text now but Robina should start with 2 Gigabyte of RAM now
you can also use more say 4G etc. but you will need to have that much RAM and a 64bit installation
