I am a researcher at CRAG (Barcelona). I would like to use mapman for enrichment analysis in rice oryza sativa japonica (OSA). I could export the ontolgy file for OSA from goMAPMAN but the format was txt and therefore the mapman import option didnĀ“t recognize.

Could you please let me know how to download and convert the OSA ontology so that I can use it in mapman?

Thanks!

Dear Blanca,

If you are having difficulty loading the mapping file:-

If you downloaded the ontology file for OSA from goMAPMAN; the file is osa_MSU_v7_2017-09-05_mapping.txt.gz

This is a zipped file and will need to be unzipped before it can be loaded into the MapMan application.
In unix the command is:-
gunzip osa_MSU_v7_2017-09-05_mapping.txt.gz

I have just verified that I could load the unzipped version of this file into MapMan.

Let me know if you have any further problems.
Marie.
